Welcome and thank you for visiting Project Faith…

Project Faith and Prayer was created by a group of Pastors and Community Leaders as a result of Hurricane Ike, which ravished our community, to pray during this time of Recovery and the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.  Praise God, finally Ike has taken a hike!  While the aftermath of Hurricane Ike devastated thousands of people, the citizens of Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Galveston, Chambers, and Brazoria Counties as well as other surrounding areas are historically resilient as we pull together the broken fragments that Hurricane Ike has left.  We salute our City, County, State and National Officials and the many emergency service workers and volunteers for putting forth an extra effort in bringing help and relief to the thousands of families who have been touched by this storm while leaving children traumatized with haunting memories.

During times of catastrophic disasters relying on our faith to bring forth healing is paramount especially since many churches, schools businesses and other religious establishments were either destroyed, badly damaged or suffered loss of power and/or water which has prevented usual business and worship services.  Although we have experienced a tremendous loss, we reach back and claim what is left, and that is faith and family.  This is why Project FAITH has been established to call the Faith Community to pray and to sing praises to God for sparing our lives as we recover, rebuild and reflect on the many who have survived this terrible ordeal and the many brave citizens who are giving of their time to bring help and relief.

The Prayer Event will be held at George R. Brown Convention Center on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 7:00 PM – It’s Free and Open to the Public!  Prayer and Fasting Gets Results!

We are asking individuals to bring:  canned goods, non-perishables, clothes, toiletries, water, batteries – benefiting local charities.

Thank you for your support.
